Roger Federer accused of ‘sexism’ and a ’lack of respect’ for doing this to his opponent

ROGER FEDERER is often described as the gentleman of tennis.

The eight-time Wimbledon champion can do no wrong in most tennis fans’ eyes but it appears he may have upset some with a recent video circulating on social media showing him participating in the Hopman Cup.
Footage of Roger Federer playing in the Hopman Cup earlier this month shows the Swiss veteran playing doubles with partner Belinda Bencic against American duo Jack Sock and Coco Vandeweghe.
During one rally in the second set Federer and Sock repeatedly hit the ball back and forth across the court.
Both females fail to get a single shot in the rally and after some time the pair both take a seat on the ground before walking off court to let Federer and Sock continue.
After a couple of trick shots from Federer, Sock eventually wins the point.
And while that point in particular was clearly being treated as a bit of fun to entertain the crowd, Federer and Sock’s decision to exclude their partners did not go down well with some fans on social media.
