BH: 1059 Killed Since Power Transition - Stefanos Foundation

Nigerian non-governmental
organization Stefanos Foundation claimed that since Muhammadu Buhari’s
inauguration at least 1,059 people had been killed in the northeast of
the country.
According to The Punch, the executive director of the body, Mark
Lipdo, who said that 75 major attacks had been carried out within this
period, with the highest number of them launched in Borno state (34).Meanwhile the Nigerian army yesterday announced the arrest of two key members of the dreaded Boko Haram sect, which is responsible for the majority of attacks in the affected area. The duo was detained in Yobe state in the course of the military operation in Geidam town.
In another development the Joint Task Force apprehended an alleged notorious kidnapper terrorizing the Niger Delta region and 21 other suspected criminals.
Group claims more death on southeastern Nigeria.
